My biggest fans are my 86 years old grannies. As soon as we migrated to Malta they created a Skype account and bought a webcam to stay in touch. A new -not familiar- ringtone when I called almost caused them a heart attack, but now they're used to it thank goodness.
Besides Skype they also created a Facebook account to 'stay in touch' or let's say: to spy on me. I love the fact that they are so eager to learn all this social gadgets on their age. The only thing they struggle with nowadays is the English language.
Since they are my VIP's on this blog I'll make this change and will start more typing in Dutch. Just because they're worth it.
- Tellen opa en oma ook als volger? Op b-biche zijn ze erelid! Toen de emigratie naar Malta officieel werd hebben ze onmiddelijk een Skype account aangemaakt en een vrolijke foto geupload. Op de aanschaffing van de webcam werd alles behalve bespaard, hun videorecorder uit 1984 was tenslotte de grootste miskoop ooit. De onbekende rinkelende toon wanneer ik ze belde heeft bijna een hartaanval veroorzaakt, gelukkig zijn ze nu gewend.
Na Skype meldde ze zich aan op Facebook, nog meer contact! Respect voor het feit dat ze al deze technologien op hun oude dag aan het uitpluizen zijn en sterker nog, goed begrijpen! Alleen de Engelse taal wil nog niet echt vlotten.
Omdat ze mijn erelid zijn komt daar vanaf vandaag verandering in. Translatebibiche.com is aan en staat op scherp om meer in Nederlands te schrijven. Gewoon omdat ze het waard zijn.
